Beginners Make-up Kit!

Hello there my lovely viewers!

So you've probably clicked on this certain blog entry because either I have forced to you or you want to start building up your make-up collection. Probably the latter.

So this post is going to run through some drugstore (highstreet) make-up that every person needs if they're just starting to try out make-up.

First off with every single make-up product that you put on, it needs to come off at the end of the day. So something that I have really been loving recently is the ultrabland product from LUSH Cosmetics. It is a cleanser, you put it on your face over your make up then you just get a cloth or a cotton pad and swipe it over. No rinsing, no horrible gluppy mess! It's amazing.

Now let's get onto the actual make-up! The base coat to any make-up kit, has to start.. of course, with foundation. Now there is two great foundations that are highly loved in the drugstore currently. They are both such great foundations and I can't put a line between either of them, so let's just say that they are both so great. But the first one mentioned is the most highest coverage. And that one has to be Revlon ColorStay.

This foundation is a little bit on the pricey side, but excellent for someone that really wants a full coverage face. This gives half matte half dewy finish. This is quite pricey, so if you were looking for a great alternative then the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation is great for you! It gives quite a medium coverage and it leaves you looking so refreshed.

Next up is my favorite concealer of honestly all time.. Not that I've tried every single concealer that there is to exist. Most beauty bloggers will rave to you about this concealer and how high coverage it is. Which is true. It is the collection perfection 16 hours concealer. It is also oh so very cheap! Don't question me, just trust me when I say that this is the best concealer!

The next product I'm going to talk/type about is a favorite that has never left my make-up bag ever. It is the stay matte pressed powder from Rimmel. It keeps your make-up looking as gorgeous as ever! I hate looking dewy/satin so this is my go to product.

Next up to finish off your face, is this a 3 in 1 product! The Sleek Face Contour Kit in Fair. It is a bronzer, highlighter and blusher all in one. This is such a perfect product and so compact and perfect for everyday use. You don't need to go swapping different bronzers etc around. They are quite pigmented aswell so you dont even need to use much product!

Now that the face is all finished off it time to venture onto the eyes. The first thing that I do with my eyes is put some eyeliner on them. My favorite eye liner of all time has to be the L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim. I have only been using this for about 1 month and I don't think I'm ever going to go back to using another eyeliner. I don't use pencil liner ever seeming as my eyes are fairly small so I'm afraid it's going to make them smaller.

Next up is my favorite mascara (This is just turning into a list of my favorite products isn't it?) which is the Maybelline Falsies mascara, as soon as I used it I knew it was going to be my favorite mascara. It is the best dupe ever for the "They're real" mascara by Benefit. It makes my lashes so long and I have this in the waterproof addition and it is 100% without a doubt waterproof!

I'm not a continuous eyeshadow wearer but I have heard the hype about these Maybelline Tattoo cream eye shadows and I can't make this post without putting these little babies in here! These are the most effortless eye shadows ever. You just get a little bit out of the pot and put it over your eye lids. That's it! And it looks flawless!

Now last but not least to pair up a perfect face you need some lipstick/lip gloss/lip balm. I usually just go for a lip balm because I don't like any color really on my lips. So I'm going to go through the best lipstick, lip gloss and lip balms.

The lip balm that I use the most is the baby lips by Maybelline my favorite colour is strike a rose. This is Oh Orange:

Now, the next is a mix between a lipstick and lip gloss but it's the most pigmented lip cosmetic that I have ever come across. They are so lovely. They are needed for a night out on the town! Just don't kiss anyone because it will go everywhere. This is the Rimmel Apocalips. They come in 7 shades which are mostly pink/red, but there is only one nude colour.

And the last lip product that you need in your make-up bag has to be a Miss Tanya Burr special. It is one of her amazing lip glosses in the colour "I Found Nemo", the formulation is honestly amazing. These are my favorite lip glosses.

That is all the items that I think you would need for a beginners make-up bag/kit! But the final piece, which isn't make-up related, is a brush/sponge. If you don't wish to apply your foundation with your hands then my favorite sponge to apply your foundation with has to be the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge! This blends your make-up in so well, it doesn't push it around your face (which is something that you should never do)

And the brush that I love applying my bronzer/highlighter/blusher/powder is the Real Techniques blush brush. It is a massive fluffy brush but it still gives precision.

Thank you guys so much for reading this post. It did take me quite a while and a lot of thinking!

February Birch Box!

Hey there my angels! It seems I only post about beauty boxes doesn't it? But my next post will be a little bit different after this one, trust me!

This post, as you can see from the title is about the February Birch Box! This month's box didn't really have any theme to do with valentines day which was a little bit odd because most beauty boxes do.

But nevertheless let's get on with the stuff inside this months box! Just remember unlike the Glossy Box, inside the Birch Box people do get different things. My items will not be exactly the same as someone else's!

So this is what the box looks like after you take it out of the ugly box it get's posted in.

The packaging for this issue was pretty boring and ugly. But not awful!

The first thing I saw when I opened it was that next months issue, they are pairing up with benefit! You get to choose online what benefit mascara you want to receive next month and because I already own the they're real benefit mascara I chose the roller lash one! So that will be fun and hopefully make up for how awful this months addition is...

But I do admit that the string bags make an excellent make up bag.

The first item that caught my eye slightly was this stainiac cheek and lip tint. This is my favorite item from this whole box. The color is absolutely gorgeous and its literally just a tint, not a stain. So it doesn't harshly stain your skin/lips. It's got just enough pigment to be not so bright, but it is noticeable! Its absolutely lovely. 5 out of 5 stars!

I was really confused by this product. I had no idea what this had to do with beauty, but then I read that you can use this for cooking, as a moisturizer and as a hair conditioner. I put this on my face before bed and I'm not even going to lie it was horrible. My face was all gunky and slippery, it looked like I had just put my hand in butter and rubbed it all over my face. Then I tried it as a hair conditioner, it messed my hair up completely. It was all greasy and slippery too. I will not be going near this again at all! 0 out of 5 stars!

On to the next product. This is a Caudalie paris radiance serum/complexion corrector. Now  because the bottle is so small I couldn't really get an accurate description of what it is like as a whole product. But from what I used, it did brighten my face and correct anything that needed to be corrected, but it wasn't amazing. It is retailed at about £45, from what I can remember. 3 out of 5 stars!

This product is also a product that does not have enough in to test out an accurate result. But I do have dry hair and this did help from what I saw. It is also a really cute little bottle so I couldn't not try it! I have never heard of the brand "Electric", but I'm sure that they are as good as everyone says they are! 3 out of 5 stars!

This box is not going very well is it? And it's about to get worse! This next product has got to receive a 0 out of 5 stars from me. It is a "London Butterflies" branded bath salt scrub. Now I may just be really really stupid or this is an awful product. It doesn't specify how to use this product so I just assumed that you rub it on your body and it gets rid of all the dead skin, which is fine! But after you do that and dry yourself off, you are left with a sticky as hell body, you can't bend your legs because they will get stuck because of how sticky it is! Next time I will run this under some warm water in my bath to see if that's the way you are meant to use it, like a bubble bath type of thing!

This last product is my second favorite, I have never used an eye shadow chubby stick, but I now have! And I love it! This is an eyeko FAT Eye stick. I absolutely adore it, apart from the fact it creases and bunches up so easily!

Here is a blurry iPhone quality swatch:

This product gets 4 out of 5 stars!

Thank you for reading this post, please kiss all your animals in your house for me.

February Glossy Box!

Hello there my lovelies, long time no speak! With college and glee getting in the way I have had no time to post so this is very very late.

It's just come to the end of February and at the start of February my last Glossy Box arrived! Also my Birch Box but I will post about that one next.

I made a decision to unsubscribe myself to Glossy Box because I have way too much make-up anyway so I was looking more for a box that provided skin care for me, which is the Birch Box which I am currently subscribed to. But I feel like I have made a great mistake because the Glossy Box is so much better! But we will have to see and compare.

So this month is obviously the valentines addition or the "LOVE" addition; this is what I had inside.

The box this month was so adorable! This is what it looked like when I opened it:

The wrapping is as gorgeous as ever.

Now in this box, I was literally excited about every single item! There is not one item in this box that I dislike in anyway whatsoever! Which is why I am still convinced the Glossy Box is better than the Birch Box but we will just have to see won't we.

The first item that grabbed to my attention was this new Schwarzkopf got2b all star 10 in 1 styling treatment. This offers everything under the sun: It offers shine, fullness, strength, thickness, smoothness, suppleness, protection, anti frizz, anti humidity and shade. I can honestly say that it does what it says on the tin! ..Or plastic bottle. Which is the only thing I don't like about it, it feels really cheap. Which it kind of is, it retails for £4.05! 4 stars out of 5 for this product.

The next thing is a marsk mineral eye shadow. I have never owned a mineral eye shadow in my life, or any form of mineral make-up which is why I am so excited for this. It is just a simple grey eye shadow with specks of silver in it! It is exactly what it says and I love it! 4 out of 5 stars for this product.

This next item is one of many things that I have in my make up draw! Lip gloss/tint! This item is adorable! It comes in a little circle bottle pan thing (I'm not very good at describing), it gives a very subtle sheen/color to your lips. I love the packaging the most! 4 out of 5 stars for this because I wish it was a little bit more pigmented.

This next item is a thing that I never even knew existed but I am so glad it does as I absolutely adore it! This is a "So Susan" Rose Quartet lip and cheek cream. The colors are so versatile and different from each other. They are so pigmented which is kind of something that you don't want on your cheeks, but they are easy to blend and are lovely on the lips because it literally does feel like there is NO product on your lips! Its so lightweight! This has got to be my favorite out of this whole box so far. 6 out of 5 stars! Haha!

Next is something that Glossy Box thought would be a little bit cheeky! But nevertheless, I really needed a good razor because I buy really cheapy ones and I always without fail cut legs whenever I shave with crappy razors. Every time. This razor is amazing! I recommend this until I die. 5 out of 5 stars for this beauty.

And last but not least, who can celebrate valentines day without some sweeties?

Thanks for reading this guys! My February Birch Box post will be up in the next hour or so!

Take care of your cats for me

January Birch Box!

Wow these blog posts are coming in fast from me aren't they?
But never the less, here's my next one.
January Birch box!

Now recently I subscribed to Glossy Box and I got the January addition, but then I saw my friend raving about the Birch Box so I had to unsubscribe and jump right over to Birch Box! And gosh I am so happy with my decision.

If you have no idea what a Birch Box or a Glossy Box is.. it's a monthly beauty subscription box. Every month you pay £12 for a beauty/skincare box and you get up to 5/6 small sampled sized items. The items can all add up to (on average) £107! (That's only if you get the full sized items, obviously!)

When you first get the box it comes in this ugly packaging just to make sure that no harm comes to it whilst it gets delivered. But once you tear that packaging off, you uncover a pretty box!

This months box, Birch Box teamed up with Women's Health. Which means some healthy stuff inside!

When you first open it you come across some leaflets. A piece of paper with what you have in your box, and how much it is for the full size! Also this month there is a "Hit Refresh" booklet, and in that booklet there is 12 challenges in there for you to do.

The items in the box come in a little pull up bag, perfect for a make-up bag!

First thing that caught my eye was this pilates band, Birch Boxes own brand! I'm not too sure where you put this on your body.. or what it even does.. But it's PINK! And it is worth £7.99

Next is an activbod shower concentrate. It is a intense shower gel with refreshing sea minerals, green tea mingle with soothing almond oil. Great for after a run because the green tea inside of it will give your body a new fresh feeling. You just go in the shower, rub this all over your body and then wash it off! Simple and effective. A full size of this is only £5.

Ah, a REN product! This is a very very small product. I put the product up to my screen to see the difference in size of the picture compared to the product and it fits like a puzzle piece. It is very tiny. This is a Radiance renewal mask and it comes in at £30! So even though there is only enough product in my tube for two uses it should be good for that price. It has a really strong smell of sugary peaches and it has a gel like consistency! I am very excited to use this product!

Next is something I didn't quite expect to be in my box, but nevertheless it looks great. It is a small 1g bag of green tea leaves! You only get one sachet to use so you won't see any results, but if you suffer from bad bloating this will do the trick! This prices up to be £24.99

This product smells like something I can't quite put my finger on.. sort of like men's LYNX deodorant! This is also a shower gel but targeted towards post shave! It treats ingrown hairs, razor bumps, razor burn and redness. I suffer from most of the above so I am so excited to see how this works out! This is £11 for the full product.

Next is the best product in the bag.. A Stila lip glaze! Oh gosh, I love getting high end make-up. The colour is absolutely stunning, it's a muted floral pink with shimmer floating through it. It's not as pink as it is showing to be on the picture. It's very subtle and just gorgeous. Definitely using this when I go out tonight. For the full product, £15. Worth every pound.

Last product is the Beauty Protector Protect and De-tangle! It smells like fruit and sea salt, which is gorgeous. This bottle claims to be heat resistant, de-tangle your hair, lock in your colour, condition it, UV protect, smooths your hair, adds shine not greasyness and seels the cuticle. What an interesting list! This for the full size is £14. I shouldn't judge on how much it is but normally something for that money will only do half the job. But I haven't tested it out yet so I know nothing!

Thank you so much for reading this

Graze Box!

Hello there lovely people of BlogSpot!

Today I received a package in the mail, well, cardboard box. And  it looked a little bit like this:

My graze box! Yay! I've been looking forward to my graze box for a little while now. Don't get me wrong I've brought loads of these and they are my favorite things.

They are such a good way of eating different things that you normally wouldn't eat or buy!

Now if anyone hasn't heard of a graze box then this post is going to explain that for you; A graze box is a healthy snacking box. It has a variation of yummy foods, tailored to what you like. On their website you can go through all of their punnets and choose which one you love, which one you hate. I love how the graze box is made and not going to lie when you open the box it smells.. exactly like new books.

This is what it looks like when you open the lid.

And this is what it looks like when your cat tries to itch his whiskers with a graze box.

So when you open the lid and take all the packaging off, you get about 3 to 4 booklets or pieces of paper.

One is a booklet, just telling you the general stuff about graze. The next is a piece of paper with four codes for people to get free graze boxes and on that paper it tells you what is inside your box, the last one/two are normally voucher codes.

Let's get onto the food inside!

First inside is the British peppered pork jerky with an apple and pear chutney on the side. This punnet has only 73 calories and is perfect for a little snack, it's also a source of protein. Personally I am not too sure on beef jerky, just because of the fact its the skin of a pig. I have no idea why it freaks me out but I can tell you the taste is somewhat bearable, I am eating it as I write this, well.. chewing it! So 3.5 stars out of 5 for this one.

Next is a beauty. The cocoa and vanilla protein flapjack. This little thing rakes in at 7.8 grams of protein and 249 calories. I think this would be a really really good breakfast idea, just because of the protein. This is the best thing out of the whole box. 4.8 stars out of 5!

Sorry for the quality on this one! But the third thing in my box was olive and rosemary bruschetta! It looks so amazing doesn't it? Almost as good as my absolute favorite graze box punnet, which is cheddar gorge. The most interesting bit in this punnet to me is the tomato baguette. It just looks so nice! And at only 112 calories it would be a perfect addition to lunch time. 4.0 out of 5 only because I hate cashews!

Last but not least. I'm not too sure about this punnet. It is the caramel and peanut track and field. I'm only not too sure about this punnet because, as I said above, I really don't like cashews/peanuts, and raisins. This punnet is 210 calories, also a great side for lunch or just a snack! This gets 2.0 stars out of 5!

Thank you allllllllllllllllllllll, so much for reading this!

If anyone would like a free graze voucher code for your first box, fifth and tenth box free. Enter this: F6H2G6MKB

Peace out, take care of your cats for me.
